How much can you grow?

Patients and caregivers are not authorized to grow or cultivate marijuana.

Fines / Cost

Possession of 20 grams or less of marijuana is a misdemeanor punishable by a maximum sentence of one year imprisonment and a maximum fine of $1,000. Possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana is a felony punishable by a maximum sentence of five years imprisonment and a maximum fine of $5,000. In excess of 25 lbs. is trafficking (1st degree felony)

Consumption Rules

Medical cannabis consumption is only allowed on private property out of public sight.

Smoking cannabis in any form is prohibited by Florida law. Cannabis seeds and flower may only be used for vaping, and must be sealed in tamper-proof containers.

Driving under the influence of marijuana is illegal.

Florida does not accept out-of-state medical marijuana cards or patients.
